An old Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. This piece features a beautiful design of a pair of seagulls resting on the waves, rendered in a refined vermilion lacquer interior and a seagull maki-e (sprinkled picture) design. The understated cherry blossom petals add to the tasteful design. As shown in the images, there are scratches and minor damage to the rim of the foot.
