This is a 1.5-bu (unit of measurement for stitching) hand-stitched kote (armored glove) from the famous Tokyo Seibudo, model "Tetsu" (Iron). The Tetsu model kote is highly regarded, with many loyal fans nationwide, including high-ranking practitioners and top-level athletes. True to its reputation, it's a superb piece that allows for a compact grip centered on the little finger. This item shows very little wear; it looks as though it was only used for practice swings, aside from some fading of the leather trim. The navy leather used is also of excellent quality, with a fine grain that leaves marks when touched with a finger – a level of quality rarely seen. The size is 19cm from wrist to the tip of the middle finger, and the base of the four fingers should measure 21-22cm around. This is an auction for the kote only. Please understand that this is a used item, although it shows very little wear. We also offer free name embroidery. If you wish to have your name embroidered, please provide the details. Packaging will be in a box using recycled materials.
