In 1964, the JA Group's Ienohikari Association launched "Kodomo Ienohikari" as a monthly magazine for farmers' children, and later changed its name to "Kodomo no Hikari." Furthermore, in 1993, on its 30th anniversary, the current title "Chagurin" was born from a reader-submitted name, combining the English words Child, Agriculture, and Green (meaning greenery/nature). What Kind of Magazine is "Chagurin"? We Take Children Seriously! "Chagurin" is a children's magazine that directly addresses the most socially important theme today, "children's issues," strongly advocates for the importance of "life, nature, food, and agriculture," and contributes to "next-generation measures" for communities, JA, and society at large.
