This is a uniquely shaped long plate (serving dish) from Arita-yaki. It features a sometsuke (underglaze blue) design of willow trees and herons, perhaps with flowing water, and is decorated with gold and a seigaiha (wave) pattern. It is a piece from the Arita-yaki Sadogama kiln. It has been stored for a long time, but there are no noticeable scratches or stains. 24.3cm x 14.3cm x 2.5cm (height)
