[8] Shape: Small stone inkstone, as per bookmark ⑰ ◉ Tosa Suzuri inkstones are made from high-quality slate mined from veins in the valleys of Mihara Village, Kochi Prefecture. The color is bluish-black, containing copper powder and silver stars. The inkstone has extremely fine fangs (鋒鋩), allowing for quick ink grinding, excellent ink dispersion, and a moist quality, closely resembling Chinese Duanxi stones. ◯ This piece is a special, extra-large inkstone that effectively utilizes the shape of the stone. The sides of the inkstone have been painstakingly smoothed to a rounded finish. However, the right side retains the rough, rugged texture of the original stone, creating a unique piece. The stone's pattern beautifully flows like a meandering path from the upper right of the sea to the lower left of the hill. When light hits it, it sparkles like scattered silver sand, shining on the hills and the sea. This piece is more of a special and valuable extra-large inkstone for display and appreciation rather than for use.
