The collection site is the Koyoshi River system in Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture. Both are miraculously thin, plate-like fragments, 1cm to 2-3cm in size. The agate transmits light, but the jasper does not. Refer to the 1cm grid paper in the photos for the size. The weight of the jasper was 135g, and the agate was 213g.
