Tsushima City Watatsumi Shrine Goshuin (red seal stamp) July 7th, Tanabata (Star Festival) Legend of Ryugu (Dragon Palace) and Mysterious Space Watatsumi Shrine in Tsushima City, Nagasaki Prefecture, enshrines Hikohohodemi-no-mikoto and Toyotama-hime-no-mikoto, and is a sea shrine where the legend of Ryugu has been passed down since ancient times. Two of the five torii gates lined up in a straight line stand in the sea, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Behind the main shrine, giant trees stand in a row, and the back approach is also well-maintained, enveloped in a solemn atmosphere. In ancient times, Toyotama-hiko-no-mikoto built a palace here and named it "Watatsumi-no-miya (Sea Palace)," and this place came to be called "Otohime (Princess Otohime)."
