This is a set of three hand-painted demitasse cups designed by Masatoshi Saeki, a ceramic artist selected as one of "10 Designers of the World" by the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy, who passed away in 2019. These cups are from the 1970s and are no longer in production. They are vintage items from 50 years ago. 【Size】 Cup: Diameter 6.2cm (8.8cm including handle), Height 6.5cm Saucer: Diameter approx. 12.3cm, Height 1.8cm * The cup holds approximately 100cc of liquid to the rim. These items were stored for a long time at my parents' house but are unused. They were stored in a dark place, so there are no noticeable stains or dirt. However, due to the hand-painted nature of the design, there are individual differences in the design of each piece. Please understand that these are vintage items before purchasing. * Due to the nature of ceramics, there are "kannyu" (crazing). "Kannyu" refers to the fine crack patterns that appear on the surface of the glaze due to the difference in shrinkage rates between the ceramic body and the glaze during the cooling process after firing. This does not affect the strength of the vessel and has been enjoyed as a beautiful pattern since ancient times.
