For sale due to equipment reorganization. This is a custom Bach 180ML. As you can see, almost none of the original form remains. It was originally silver-plated. - The surface plating of the 37 bell has been removed and treated with a black oxide finish after being lacquered. - Trim changed to genuine GP parts. - All tuning slides are MK nickel silver (3rd slide only at the top). There is a faint MK engraving on the top of the main tuning slide. - The main brace was modified as a result of sound adjustments. - Bell flares added. - Peruvian mouthpiece brace changed to a plate. Many other modifications, please judge from the photos. Valve guides are intentionally plastic. I have used this as my main instrument for a long time. As you can see, almost nothing of the original remains, but the base is a 180MLSP from the 200,000 serial number range. The valves function well, but the 1st and 3rd tuning slides are stiff, so adjustments may be needed to move them during performance. There are no stuck parts. The 2nd slide is tight but can be removed. (I didn't use the tuning slides much during performance, so I left them as they were.) As you can see, there are minor dents and scratches, but it does not affect playing. However, due to the many modifications, I will consider it as junk. I apologize if I missed anything. It looks heavy, but it doesn't feel that heavy when played. Some people may find a regular Stradivarius more difficult. The MK parts were directly ordered from MK company about 15 years ago and shipped overseas. The nickel silver inner slides improved the response. Also, thanks to the surface treatment, the sound has depth, and I think it's easier to handle than it looks in many ways. There is discoloration and plating damage, but I will not polish it and will sell it as is for the sake of the sound. I used a Monette BL4 when playing lead and a Giardinelli 10C at other times. Both shallow and deep mouthpieces can be used well. I have affection for it, but I am selling it to purchase new equipment. The case for shipping is included, but please consider it as a bonus. I will pack it carefully before shipping. I may be unavailable for about a week due to a business trip. I will basically ship immediately, but please note that it may take some time depending on the timing. Updated 1/25: Price reduced due to the purchase of new equipment. Price negotiations are welcome.
