"Nikkan IMPERIALE" was a top-of-the-line domestic model in its day, manufactured in 1965 through a joint development between Nippon Kangakki Co., Ltd. (which would merge with YAMAHA in 1970 as the musical instrument manufacturing division) and YAMAHA. Especially the early Imperial models manufactured from 1965 to 1967 had many hand-processed steps and were manufactured with a care comparable to the current YAMAHA custom line. This instrument is a TR-1 manufactured in 1966, and is a unit from the same period as YAMAHA's first model, the YTR-1. YAMAHA's YTR-1 was a customized version of the Nikkan Imperial TR-1 within the factory. This TR-1 was customized in the workshop to implement the same specifications as the YTR-1, and was also rebuilt to improve the instrument's "sound." The Imperial's bell brace connects the bell and lead pipe at a right angle, which often leads to the solder on the bell and lead pipe braces coming loose due to the metal expanding and contracting after manufacturing. This instrument also had problems with the brace soldering, so the bell brace was reattached to remove stress and distortion from the tubing. This instrument maintains a miraculous condition in both the lacquer and functional parts. It has been customized with reference to the workshop's YTR-1, so the functionality is the same as the YTR-1. (Reference photos are included) The TR-1, with the stress removed by the tubing rebuild, sounds remarkably good. At our workshop, which knows YAMAHA's YTR-1 inside and out, we have added a thumb hook to the 1st slide to enable slide operation. This is the same specification as used as standard on the "CONN 61B Super Connstellation" and "Olds Super Trumpet." In addition, two rare soroban nuts have been installed, allowing for locking. Please see the photos for other customization points. This instrument is a 60-year-old vintage, but thanks to the rebuild, it has specifications that can be used without any sense of incongruity in modern ensembles. There are no areas of deterioration. ★This instrument is also listed on other auction sites, and will be withdrawn if it is won there. Contents of the listing: Trumpet body, hard case
