This is a set of tablas (high-pitched tabla, wooden and low-pitched baya/dugga, steel). It includes the covers for each drumhead, cushions to place under them for stability, and the original carrying bag. The manufacturer, Haribhau Vishwanath Co., seems to be a well-known musical instrument maker in India. I bought it at a shop in Mumbai that an Indian friend recommended. I still remember walking through the crowded shopping street to find the store. It's about 15 years old. The leather straps have hardened during storage, and there is some minor corrosion on the metal parts. I haven't used them in a while, but they still have their unique resonance. I think they have a depth of sound that's unlike anything else. However, I don't have much opportunity to use them, so I've decided to declutter.
