This is a collaboration goshuin (temple stamp) set from Nagi Shrine in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, and Yasogami Shrine in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, for the Gion pilgrimage. It features the deities Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Kushinadahime, who had a dramatic encounter in Izumo in ancient times and, after defeating the Yamata no Orochi, happily became a married couple. The design creates a colorful heart shape when the two goshuin are combined. It is made with the wishes of "warding off evil," "marital harmony," and "good relationships," which are the divine virtues.
