The TELO MIMETICO camouflage pattern, introduced to the Italian military in 1929, is said to be the first mass-produced camouflage pattern in history. Initially developed as a tent shell, it featured a low-saturation, gray-toned camouflage pattern. In the 1950s, the pattern was slightly scaled down and the color scheme was changed, based on the M-29 pattern, and it was used until around the 1990s. It was used by the Italian Army's mountain troops and paratroopers, and also by the San Marco Marine Brigade, so it is often referred to as San Marco Camo. These overpants are made of high-strength cotton material and come with adjustable suspenders. They feature a button-fly front and pass-through side pockets. Cargo pockets are also included, providing ample storage. Both the pass-through pockets and cargo pockets are reinforced with rivets.
