42s US Army Sleeping Shirt China Button This is a sleeping shirt used by the US Army in the 1940s. It was used in the medical field. Unlike regular sleeping shirts, this one features a China button closure on the front. This type of old sleeping shirt is rarely seen and is extremely rare, and I think it's an overwhelmingly stylish piece in terms of design. Purchased as deadstock and washed about twice, the tag is faded, but it indicates it's from 1942. I've also included an image of the tag after one wash (Figure 4) for reference.
