Box, instruction manual, etc. are all included. I used it for about a year for black bass fishing. I don't feel any grinding or rattling. I had it appraised at a fishing tackle shop, and they said there were no defects other than minor scratches. There are scratches on the reel seat area (please refer to the photos).
