The title "Semi Nude" is startling, but its true meaning is internal, with a positive intention to break through her previous emotional shell and express her true, raw self. She composed all the songs, with arrangements by Masataka Matsutoya, Akira Inoue, and Kazumi Seo. Perhaps due to her rising popularity, three songs were released as singles: "Season," "Make love as you like," and "Tuberose," which was used in an airline commercial. Of these, "Hold My Heart" and "Promise," the B-sides of "Season" and "Tuberose" respectively, which were not previously included on albums, have been selected as bonus tracks for this release. This album also marked the first time her beautiful appearance was featured on the jacket.
