While copper is the most common base for cloisonné enamel, copper alloy is sometimes used to make red and purple transparent glazes appear more vivid. Pure copper bases can sometimes turn black after firing, but copper alloy results in a clearer transparency. ＊ Although it is new and unused, there are some minor scratches from the beginning. It has a material feel more like metal than ceramic, with a handmade look like uneven paint. This is how the item is originally made. The obi-dome itself is sturdy. The plastic case has scratches from the beginning.
