This is an auspicious wooden mold with a large full moon meticulously carved over a pine grove. It was used for making Japanese sweets called Nerikiri. The pins are still intact, and it is in good condition. The number of wood carving artisans in Japan is said to be less than 10, making their rarity and value increasingly high. The wooden frame measures 19cm x 12cm.
