It contains over 300 grams of cotton, making it very fluffy and highly effective at retaining heat. Shipping will involve some compression. If using Eco-Mercari shipping, it will be shipped as is! The cotton is secured with embroidery thread and buttons to prevent shifting. Although it's cotton and packed with a good balance, please understand that this is a handmade item. Pressure cookers are heavy and difficult to take out and put away, but since I started using a pot cozy, I stopped using them altogether and got rid of them.
