It is characterized by its fine, hard, and dense stone quality, and its beautiful stone surface. ◯ This piece is a very labor-intensive natural stone inkstone with a matching lid, created by an old Akamaseki inkstone maker who skillfully utilized natural stone. It has a lid with a gourd-shaped knob and is a piece with good ink retention. There are two brush rests on the right side of the inkstone rim. Three gourd leaves are carved on the upper rim of the inkstone body, and the rest of the rim is finely stamped to balance with the lid. The ink well and ink hill have about 10 pale blue-green stone patterns on a reddish-brown background, making it unique. It is a treasure-like craftwork, good for both use and viewing.
