I purchased this shantung furoshiki (100% cotton) from a dyeing specialty shop. It's a single-layer construction and has been indigo-dyed using various techniques. The fabric is sturdy. It features tie-dye, mandala, cloud, and powder dyeing, among other techniques. A large amount of indigo powder was used. I dyed it using alkaline ionized water. Compared to previous products, the same amount of dye (in grams) was used, but the color is richer and clearer. ☆Size Approximately 78.5cm x 78.5cm (before dyeing ⇒ 80cm) (Please allow for some error) Color-fastening treatment has been applied, but please wash it separately at first, considering the possibility of color transfer. The smell of the dye may remain when it's freshly dyed. It will gradually disappear. When rubbing it strongly with your fingers or during the first wash, your fingers or the water may turn blue. This is excess indigo dye coming off. ※Do not use chlorine bleach. It will remove the dyed color!! As this is a handmade item, there may be some imperfections.
