The following is an excerpt from the introduction site: A collaborative collection of works composed of text by German artist Thomas Demand and American novelist and poet Ben Lerner. The image of "Blossom = Cherry Blossoms," carefully created from paper, is related to a photograph of Katherine Russell, the wife of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing that occurred in April of the same year, published in The New York Times on May 4, 2013. Demand's works are photographed, destroyed, and draw the viewer into a virtual reality different from the reality before their eyes, and by adding Lerner's text, a new interpretation of Demand's photographs is proposed.
