I found this Yamato baby scale while tidying up a relative's house. It's nearly 60 years old. I have only done a simple wipe-down. The bottom of the basket, made of vinyl, has not been completely cleaned of dirt. The underside also shows noticeable discoloration. By removing the wing nuts, replacing the fittings, and attaching the top plate, it can be used as a regular scale. A stainless steel top plate is also included (photo 8).
