"The Diary of Anne Frank" can be said to be a record of her heart, written over a period of just over two years, focusing on her time in hiding. There was a drama before this "Diary of Anne Frank," written by an unknown Jewish girl, was published. Miep Gies, one of the supporters who devotedly helped the residents of the hiding place, quickly recovered the diary on the day they were taken away and kept it carefully. After the war, Otto Frank, Anne's father, who was the only survivor of the family, returned to Amsterdam and stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Gies for a while. And around July 1945, when Anne's death was confirmed, Miep handed the diary to Otto. Otto was the first person other than Anne to read the diary. The contents of the diary were astonishing even for her father, who was Anne's closest confidant.
