Represented by "Contemporary Master Craftsman" Tatsumasa Imai (Traditional Craftsman), the company employs 5 nationally certified traditional craftsmen and 20 other men and women. Osaka Suzuki's techniques originated from the first Ihei (Suzu-i), who followed the flow of Kyo-suzuki, which spread from Kyoto to Osaka in the late Edo period, and flourished in Osaka for generations.
