During a trip to the Noto Peninsula in the 2000s, I had an itinerary to visit Wajima lacquerware workshops, and after visiting several, this piece was the one that caught my eye the most. However, it was a set of five and the price was astronomical, and since I had just retired, I made the unreasonable request of only wanting two. The owner of the workshop kindly accommodated my request and sold me a special pair. I have cherished those pieces, but now that we are both in our late years and want to leave various things to our children, considering their preferences, I thought it would be best if someone who appreciates them could have them, so I am putting them up for sale. I am only selling one of the two bowls because I rarely used the other. Thank you for your understanding. This bowl can be used not only for simmered dishes but also as a container for various rice dishes, sushi, and more. I think it can be a very versatile container depending on your ideas.
