I purchased this item used and used it for home practice for about a year. I have not stepped on it with shoes since I acquired it. It has little wobble and a straightforward action, and I think it's a great machine for mastering the basics of twin pedals. Although there are some stains and minor scratches, the operation is smooth, and it is still in good condition for use. The shaft was not included when I purchased it, so I purchased and installed a general-purpose one. The beaters are Pearl quad beaters.
