This book, along with the "Kojiki" and "Nihon Shoki," is considered one of the three major ancient documents, yet it's never mentioned in Japanese history classes at school. I was once enrolled in the history department at university. However, I didn't know this book existed until a Belarusian-Japanese half-friend told me about it. My family traces its lineage back to the Fujiwara clan, distantly connecting to the Ashikaga clan (with the surname "Tō"). I believe it's natural that the history of those who were suppressed and hidden in the shadow of the Fujiwara clan's power exists. I think this book is a valuable resource that allows us to touch upon the feelings of such people.
