A set of authentic Gifu Ouchi Andon lanterns by Tsugushichi Ozeki. These lanterns are displayed during the Obon period as "guideposts" to help the spirits of ancestors return home without getting lost. These are floor or tatami mat-supported lanterns. The "Authentic Gifu" marking indicates that Gifu Prefecture is one of the major production areas for lanterns. They feature delicate and elegant fire bags with refreshing autumn grass and landscapes depicted on them, and are designated as a National Traditional Craft. Although the usage is unknown, the cord was unopened, so I opened the lanterns only to check for damage without assembling them, photographed them, and confirmed there was no damage. Light bulbs are sold separately. Due to long-term storage, there may be minor scratches and stains. No noticeable damage was found during inspection. Everything included is shown in the photos.
