This is a Kheshba, a traditional Iraqi instrument. Also known as Kheshba, Kasoura, خشبة،كاسور. The body is made by hollowing out wood and covering it with rabbit skin. While instruments are made using fish, goats, and donkeys, rabbit skin is thinner than those. This was custom-made for me at a reputable workshop in Egypt, and this is the only one in existence. And it is very rare for this instrument to appear on the market. You can search for "Kheshba Iraq" to find performance videos that demonstrate how it's played and what it sounds like. Because the skin is thin, be careful not to hit it with a stick or strike it too hard, as it may tear. This comes with a dedicated case.
