Despite inventing things that should be significant for humanity, the genius (?!?) scientist Dr. Szalinski (Rick Moranis) always ends up causing a panic. This is the third installment of the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" series, a representative of family sci-fi. This time, the doctor and his wife even shrink their friends! Naturally, the biggest threat to them this time is their mischievous kids, who now look like giants. The setting is the opposite of the first film, so there's not much novelty, and the adventure of the uncles and aunts being shrunk is somewhat comical and clumsy (it's strangely funny that they still seem domestic even when they're small), but the series' stability makes it easy to watch. Above all, Dr. Szalinski's bumbling and comical performance is a delight for Moranis fans. The director is Dean Cundey.
