The material is Red Sandalwood, and it is carefully colored and carved in detail. Red Sandalwood belongs to the persimmon family and has the same properties as ebony, and has been used for high-class furniture and Buddhist altars since ancient times. ■Size Total height: Approximately 22.5 cm Width: Approximately 11 cm (base) Depth: Approximately 8.5 cm (base) *Please refer to photos 4, 5, and 6 for details. ■Nichiren Shonin & Sanpo-son Nichiren Shonin A monk of the Kamakura period and the founder of the Nichiren sect. He dedicated his life to the faith of the Lotus Sutra, and was awarded the title of Nichiren Daibosatsu by Emperor Gokogon, and the posthumous title of Rissho Daishi by Emperor Taisho. Sanpo-son A Buddha statue that symbolizes the Three Treasures of Buddhism: "Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha." The central figure is a Treasure Pagoda with the words "Namu Myoho Renge Kyo" written on it, with Shakyamuni Buddha and Taho Nyorai on either side. ■Condition of the product We are selling this item at a low price to clear out the inventory that the previous owner purchased.
