It's more of a rod than a pin. I've included a photo (7th image) of the remaining links from another band I used. It's difficult to reinsert once removed. When reinserting, slightly filing the tip of the rod can help it go in smoothly. The durability is exceptional. The item in the 7th photo is not included.
