This is a paulownia wood body plate for a shamisen. Ideal for protecting the skin. Sizes available for hosozao (thin neck), chuzao (medium neck), and futozao (thick neck) shamisen. All have some warping, but I don't think it will cause any particular problems in use. *Please refrain from purchasing if you are a perfectionist or tend to voice various opinions after receiving the item.
