I'm selling this reel because I bought a second one with my recent bonus and am switching over! The reeling feel isn't as good as a new reel, but the DC sound works fine, so it casts smoothly. I felt a slight whirring sound indoors, but it wasn't noticeable when actually fishing. I don't think there's any grinding feeling. Calcutta Conquest DC
