This item was purchased over 20 years ago at a handmade crafts fair. It has been stored away and never used. The perch-like base is cute, and it can be displayed as is. There is a slight lifting of a few millimeters on the back of the owl brooch, on the wood (see photo 6). I think it can be used with a smooth back if you attach it with glue. Please understand that this item has been stored at home for a long time by a non-professional. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such things.
