This is a namasu dish purchased at an antique market. The inside features a five-petaled flower design. Unlike the single point on a soba choko, this is a more substantial pattern. The rim has a floral arabesque design with alternating buds and flowers. The flowers are stylized peonies. This is a common motif in Imari floral arabesque designs. The body is encircled by arabesque patterns. It has a snake-eye foot with a swirling "fuku" mark (福 - good fortune). There is a crack (nyu). There are stains that appear to have been caused by firing. There are only slight scratches. Otherwise, there are no noticeable damages. Please check the images carefully.
