Purchased new approximately 25 years ago at a shop in Tokyo. Work by an overseas artist. Ceramic whale and driftwood object with ceramic wind chimes under seashells. It is very heavy, but the wire is quite sturdy, so there is no deterioration and it is safe. One of the three whales did not have black eyes painted on it from the beginning. The tail of the whale in the fifth photo is partially chipped. During the earthquake, the ceramic wind chime part and the paper strip part broke, and then everything was repaired with putty. There are traces like in the photos, but the repaired parts are quite smooth. A paper strip-like object hangs inside, producing a pleasant sound. Selling due to downsizing with a move. Size with a strong presence: 108cm from the knot to the bottom. 27cm from the knot to the top driftwood. Whale is 30cm long. The price at the time of purchase was high and it is a rare item, so no price reduction is possible. It is difficult to obtain and I am hesitant to list it, so it may be deleted without notice. It was displayed indoors after purchase and broke when it fell during an earthquake, but my family repaired it by hand. All the pieces are attached. No price reduction is possible due to the current condition of the item.
