Men's Oshima Tsumugi This item was sent to a specialist for washing and stretching. It has been stored in a chest of drawers for many years. I was told it belonged to my grandfather, so I believe it dates back to the Taisho era. It was sewn together with thread, but I unraveled it for inspection. Since it was washed and stretched, some parts have been joined together (Image 7). There are no noticeable scratches or stains. The size is approximately 36 x 10.6 meters. Since it has already been washed and stretched, I think it can be used immediately as a remake material.
