This is a Korean Buddhist statue with a clear production date. The back of the halo is inscribed with the production date, place of production, maker, and reason for production, making it a very important historical material for studying ancient Buddhist statues. It is inscribed that it is one of the thousand Buddhas disseminated by Rakurakutō-ji Temple of Goryeo (Goguryeo) in the 7th year of Yeonga (539).
