In Japan, the Yeti is often seen as an unidentified creature (UMA) like Bigfoot, but in the local culture, it's recognized as an evil mountain spirit. Therefore, people living in the Himalayas are said to carry amulets to protect themselves from Yeti attacks when traveling through the mountains. This pocket Buddha contains a metal statue of a deity inside a leather case. Additionally, the leather pouches on both ends are said to contain demons that the Yeti fears, and they reportedly contain parts of snow leopards.
