This item was purchased in Alaska about 40 years ago. It is a wooden totem pole-style ornament with distinctive carvings. According to the attached instructions, the top features a legendary Thunderbird with outstretched wings atop the head of a grizzly bear. The bear is holding a seal in its front paws, and below that is a shield, a symbol of wealth. The bottom of the ornament is marked "MADE IN ALASKA BY RAVEN." The instructions state "MADE IN ALASKA BY RAVEN PRODUCTIONS." The instructions are old and yellowed, but the ornament itself has almost no scratches or stains.
