This Bujad rug features a striking abstract design with bold vertical lines that run rhythmically. Bujad is a traditional production area located in central Morocco, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, where nomadic and farming women have continued to hand-weave rugs in their homes for generations. Many designs have a high degree of freedom, such as abstract lines and asymmetrical layouts, and the fact that each rug has its own unique character is also a feature. This rug is based on cream, with turquoise green, pink, camel beige, and black threads woven vertically. Lavender and gray threads are interspersed in places, creating a deep gradation. The beautiful colors give it a presence like modern art, and it will stand out as an accent in your space. The fluffy, thick wool pile uses the finest lamb's wool. The wool of sheep raised in a climate with high altitudes and large temperature differences is supple and lustrous, combining softness and durability.
