This is a precision model of the "Buran (Бура́н)," a vehicle that was widely reported as the "Soviet space shuttle" at the time of its unveiling. It is a different vehicle from the American space shuttle. This item is offered for reference in understanding the history of space development. It is probably 1/144 scale. The shuttle body (orbiter) can be removed from the wooden base. There is a small, approximately 2mm scratch on the tip of one horizontal stabilizer (see photo). There are tape marks on the back of the base (see photo). It was displayed in a glass case, so there may be some slight yellowing or fading of the shuttle body. There is no box.
