This is a wired R/C (radio-controlled) R2-D2 from Star Wars. Requires 4 AA batteries. Operation confirmed. Pressing the top of the switch changes direction. Pressing the bottom moves it forward with force and the head lamp lights up. There is some yellowing, but otherwise it is in good condition. I saw other listings, but most of them don't work. This one was purchased at the time, batteries were inserted and it was operated once, then stored in a storage case. It was stored in a storage case for over 25 years since it was made in 1997, but I took it out for the photos, confirmed its operation, and listed it. The wired type is rare, and I think this is quite a rare item now. Please consider only if you are satisfied with the photos and description.
