These lively and charming pieces feature the flamboyant colors characteristic of the Meiji era, when Japan opened its doors to the world. Although not immediately noticeable, one of the plates has a hairline crack (nyu) on the bird's foot. Overall, the condition is good, but there are some minor scratches due to aging.
