Original print of the stone carving remains of Urakami Tenshudo Cathedral after the atomic bombing. I believe this was taken about six months after the bombing. It is the head of a stone statue that was displayed in the cathedral. It fell due to the atomic bomb. Many photographs of the heads of fallen saints like this one have been taken and are still on display today. However, this particular print is not available. The ruthlessness of the atomic bomb's destructive power even shattered the stone saints. I think that this single head, rather than the many heads of stone saints that were photographed, emphasizes the cruelty. Above all, because nothing has been altered, I believe it conveys the truth. There are no noticeable scratches or damage, but there is a number written in red pencil on the left edge.
