This is an old wooden tea chest found while cleaning out my parents' house. The surface of the box is inscribed with "Honzan Meicha, Mori Shoten." The inside is lined with tin, and it was widely used as a clothing case, storage box, or container in those days. It's a charming antique item that evokes the feeling of Showa-era life. It can still be used as a storage box, and it can also add a retro/vintage touch to your interior decor. The size (self-measured) is 68.5cm (length) x 43cm (width) x 48cm (height). The lid closes securely. Overall, there are signs of dirt, stains, and rust. There is about 3cm of corrosion on the lid (see photo 13). Due to the size, the item will be wrapped in cushioning material for protection and shipped as is. To minimize damage during transport, cardboard will be placed on the corners of the tea chest.
