The box has stains and dirt, but the karuta cards inside are very clean. There are no folds or stains. It's a beautiful item! There are 5 cards each for the "a" through "ma" rows, 3 cards each for the "ya" row, 1 card for "wa", and 1 card for "n". Picture cards... 44 cards Reading cards... 44 cards, plus 1 "n" card, A total of 89 cards are included. *I'm not sure if it was missing from the time of purchase, but the "wo" card is missing.
