Afterwards, he went through Kurume Bairin Sodo and Kamakura Engaku Sodo, and then transferred to Kyoto Tofuku Sodo, succeeding the teachings of Roshi Kazumichi Ienaga. After serving as the chief priest of Ritsukyo-an within Tofukuji Temple, He was appointed as the master of Joei Sodo from September 1952 to October 1978. Resigned in October 1978. Appointed as the Head Priest of the Tofukuji School in 1986, serving until 1991.
